Our dance ensemble has been established 39 years ago. We are proud to announce
that we currently have about 60 dancers, organized in several distinct groups.

We dance in the original Serbian costumes. After being in the existence for over 39 years we are proud to announce that our
wardrobe is full of colourful costumes including all regions from Serbia.
Our repertoire includes the following choreographies: Wedding dances from the Kosovo Region, Sheppard - Vlahos Dance,
Rebellion - Hajduk Veljko dance, Dances from the Timok Region, Dances from Sumadija Region
Our choreographies are complex, dynamic with lots of movements and swift footwork. Typically, we manage to add two to three
new choreographies during the school year (September - Jun). Through authentic dance and costumes our choreographies are telling stories about old Serbian inhabitants, their culture, life, occupations and traditions. Our dance performances - choreographies are between 8 – 10 minutes in durations.
Our goal is to foster a love of Serbian culture and heritage for generations to come. Not only do the children learn to dance traditional dances, but they are exposed to a wonderfully supportive community of peers. Many of our dancers return to the group as proud parents, bringing their own children to learn traditional dances and form lifelong friendships and bonds with Serbian community.
